Nordex scores with 750MW in orders for 6MW turbines in Turkey
Orders come after OEM had just announced half a gigawatt in orders in Finland, boding well for the manufacturer's first quarter order intake
Nordex has won orders from an unnamed wind developer in Turkey with a combined capacity of 750MW.
The German wind turbine manufacturer will supply and install 108 of its N163/6.X machines for two projects from mid-2026 on.
Completion of the wind farms is scheduled for 2027.
The very large orders in Turkey added to half a gigawatt in orders in Finland, which the OEM announced yesterday.
Both bode well for the company’s first quarter order intake, while Danish rival Vestas during the first quarter saw its onshore wind orders slump to just 883MW in the quarter, its worst since 2014.
