Nordex first quarter orders rise to 2.2GW while prices edge up slightly
Turkey, Germany and Finland push order intake 5% higher year on year
Nordex orders in the projects segment (excluding the service business) rose 5% in the first quarter of 2025 from the year-earlier period to 2.2GW, pushed higher by strong demand in Turkey, Germany and Finland.
The German wind turbine manufacturer’s average sales price (ASP) rose slightly to €0.87m ($0.95m)/MW in the quarter from €0.85/MW in the same quarter of 2023.
"I am delighted with our successful start to the year, achieving an order intake of around 2.2GW and building on our strong performance from recent quarters,” Nordex CEO José Luis Blanco said.
“We expect this positive momentum to continue throughout the year and remain committed to our plans for 2025 to win further orders in our core regions inside and outside Europe.”
Nordex during the first quarter of this years received orders for 337 wind turbines for projects in 10 countries. The strongest individual markets were Turkey, Germany, Finland as well as Latvia and Brazil.
