Donald Trump’s war on offshore wind in the US has gathered pace in the last month, with his administration taking action to cancel and derail a slew of projects. We've visualised this assault in a new interactive map.

Trump promised he would try and stop US offshore wind in its tracks “on day one” of his second term in the White House. For once, the US President was as good as his word.

But in a dizzying eight months since then, with permits pulled, stop work orders issued and projects paused or cancelled, it has become hard to keep track of the wanton destruction that Trump has unleashed on the sector.

The below map charts projects that Trump’s offshore wind hit squad has directly targeted, as well as those indirectly impacted. It also includes projects that are further down the development or construction pathway but have so far escape relatively unscathed.
